In the period of almost fifty years, Ilija Vitolić created his artwork in
privacy, without seeking public attention. Nevertheless, he had a heart
felt desire to convey some of his worldview and inner vision to poster
ity through his creative expression.
After his early death, I decided to reveal his artistic achievement to the
world by presenting his artistic opus, which inspires me anew day after
day. So, after many years of dedicated endeavors, this monograph came
into being. I hope that it will find its way to all who are interested to
discover the art of Ilija Vitolić and the secrets it bears.
